Terms of Use

How this referral service works, what it does and doesn’t do, and the few rules for using the site.

What this site is

Yuba HVAC Pros is a referral service for homeowners in Sutter and Yuba counties. When you call the number on this site, your call is routed to an independent local HVAC contractor who covers your ZIP code. When you send a request, it may be passed to an independent local HVAC contractor so they can contact you. By using the site, you’re agreeing to these terms.

Yuba HVAC Pros is not a contractor. It doesn’t install, repair, or service heating or cooling systems, visit homes, or give prices. The contractors are independent businesses, not its employees or agents.

In short

  • An independent local pro does the work
  • They look at your system and quote it
  • You decide whether to hire them
  • You pay them, never this site

Your agreement is with the contractor

Any visit, quote, contract, schedule, and payment is between you and the contractor. You pay them directly. Yuba HVAC Pros doesn’t negotiate on your behalf and can’t promise a contractor will be available on a certain day, take on every job, or charge a particular price.

The contractor is responsible for its work, its crew, its insurance, and any permits the job needs. If something goes wrong with the work, take it up with them directly. Yuba HVAC Pros does not warrant and is not responsible for any work performed.

Check their license yourself

Yuba HVAC Pros doesn’t check or vouch for any contractor’s license or insurance. It’s up to you to make sure the contractor you hire holds the license and insurance the work needs. For heating and air conditioning work in California, that’s usually a Contractors State License Board (CSLB) C-20 license.

It takes a minute on the CSLB license lookup. Ask the contractor for their license number and proof of insurance before any work starts. The CSLB also handles complaints about licensed contractors.

You never pay this site

Calling or sending a request never obliges you to hire anyone. The call network or the contractor may pay Yuba HVAC Pros a fee for qualified calls and requests. That fee is between them and the site, and you never pay this site.

Information on this site

The guides, town pages, and answers here are general information to help you get started, not professional advice. Every home and system is different, and rules and rebates change.

Check with the city, county, or agency each page links to, and ask the contractor once they’ve seen your system.

In an emergency, like a gas smell or a carbon monoxide alarm, leave the home right away, then call 911 and PG&E’s gas emergency line at 1-800-743-5000.

Using the site

Use the site the way it’s meant to be used, and it works for everyone.

Please

  • Send true details about you and your job
  • Only ask about property you can decide on
  • No spam or sales pitches through the forms
  • No automated scraping or overloading

Site content and other sites

The text, design, and logo on this site belong to Yuba HVAC Pros. Photos are used under their licenses and credited where the license asks.

Links to government pages and other sites are there to help you. Those sites are run by others, and this site isn’t responsible for what they say.

Limits of responsibility

The site is provided “as is.” It’s kept as accurate and running as possible, but there’s no promise it will always be complete, current, or available.

To the extent the law allows, Yuba HVAC Pros isn’t liable for any contractor’s work, advice, prices, delays, or damage, or for any loss that comes from relying on information on this site. Nothing here takes away rights you have under California law that can’t be waived.
