Privacy Policy

What this site collects, who it’s shared with, and the choices you have, in plain words.

Your information, in plain words

Yuba HVAC Pros runs yubahvacpros.com, a referral service for homeowners in Sutter and Yuba counties: you call or send a request about your heating or cooling, and it’s passed to an independent local HVAC contractor. Yuba HVAC Pros is not a contractor. It doesn’t do HVAC work, visit homes, or give prices.

This page explains what’s collected when you use the site, call the number on it, or send a request, how it’s used, and the choices you have.

At a glance

  • Only what you send and basic site data
  • Calls and requests go to an independent local pro
  • Calls may be recorded, and you’ll be told
  • Contact lists are never sold

The information you share

When you send a request, the site collects your name, phone number, and town, and, if you add them, your email address, the kind of system that needs help, what it’s doing, and anything else you include. It also notes which page you sent it from, to see which pages are helping.

Calls. When you call the number on this site, the site’s phone provider and the call network log your number, the time and length of the call, and roughly where you’re calling from (such as your ZIP code), so the call can reach a contractor who covers your area. Calls may be recorded. When recording is on, you’ll hear a short “this call may be recorded” message at the start of the call, before anyone speaks.

Visits. Like most websites, this one receives your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and the buttons you click, including when you tap a phone number or send a form. That’s used to keep the site working and to see what’s useful.

How your information is used

Mostly, to get your call or request to someone who can help. It isn’t used for anything you wouldn’t expect.

It’s used to

  • Connect you with a local HVAC contractor
  • Answer your questions about this site
  • Count calls and requests for referral fees
  • Find and fix pages that aren’t working
  • Keep the site safe and follow the law

Who it’s shared with

When you call, a pay-per-call network routes your call to an independent HVAC contractor who covers your ZIP code. The network and that contractor receive your phone number and the call details. When you send a form, your request may be passed to an independent local HVAC contractor so they can call or text you about it.

The network or the contractor may pay Yuba HVAC Pros a fee for qualified calls and requests. You never pay this site. The network and the contractor are separate businesses, and their own privacy practices apply to what they receive.

A few services help run the site: the web host, the service that emails form requests to the site owner, the phone provider (which may forward calls to the network), and Google Analytics. They only use your information to provide that service, or as their own privacy terms describe.

Information is also shared if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety. Beyond that, your details aren’t shared with anyone for their own marketing, and contact lists are never sold.

Your OK before anyone calls

Every request form asks for your permission before you send it. This is exactly what you agree to:

“An independent local HVAC pro may call or text me about this request. No obligation to hire.”

Changed your mind? Reply STOP to any text, tell the contractor directly, or say so on the contact page. Your request then stops being passed on, and anyone it was sent to is asked not to contact you.

Your California privacy rights

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you rights over your personal information. Because a call network or contractor may pay a fee when your call or request is passed on, California law may treat that as “selling” or “sharing” personal information.

You can ask to know what’s been collected about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and opt out of any sale or sharing of it. Passing on a call or request you ask to be connected is something you direct, which California law treats differently from a sale; opting out means your details aren’t passed along for any other purpose. Using these rights won’t change how you’re treated.

To use any of them, send a request through the contact page with the name and phone number you used, and say which right you’re using. Your identity is confirmed first, and you’ll get a reply within 45 days.

What’s collected, by category

  • Identifiers: name, phone, email, IP
  • Your request: system, problem, town
  • Site activity: pages, taps, form sends
  • Approximate location, such as ZIP
  • Call recordings, when recording is on

Cookies, analytics, and Do Not Track

The site uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies to count visits, phone taps, and form sends. You can block or clear cookies in your browser, and the site will still work.

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There’s no agreed standard for what that should mean, so the site doesn’t change how it works when it receives one.

How long it’s kept

Requests and call logs are kept for up to 24 months, and any call recordings for up to 12 months. That leaves time to answer questions about a referral and settle fees with the network. After that, they’re deleted, unless the law requires keeping them longer. The network and contractors keep their own records under their own policies.

Seeing, fixing, or deleting your details

You can ask what information the site holds about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. It’s your information.

Send the request through the contact page with the name and phone number you used, and you’ll get a reply within 45 days. If your request was passed to a contractor, they’re asked to delete it too.

Security and children

Sensible safeguards, like encrypted connections and limited access, protect what you send. No website or phone system is perfectly secure, though, so nothing can be promised never to go wrong.

This site is meant for adults arranging heating or cooling work on a home. It doesn’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has sent their details, say so on the contact page and they’ll be deleted.

Changes and questions

If the way information is collected or shared changes, this page and the date in the sidebar are updated. The version on this page is the one that applies.

Yuba HVAC Pros is operated by Feroz Khan. This policy is effective October 27, 2026.
